Ignite Driver Training is proudly owned and operated by Cory Horsell, a Yorke Peninsula local with over 30 years of driving experience and a background as a qualified mechanic.
Cory believes learning to drive should be a supportive, confidence-building experience, with a strong focus on road safety and the practical skills needed for regional driving. Every lesson is delivered with patience, professionalism, and a genuine commitment to helping students become safe, independent drivers.
Training Vehicle and Professional Safety Standards
Lessons are conducted by our fully qualified Motor Driving Instructor. We provide a comfortable, safe and comprehensively insured 2024 Mitsubishi ASX plus;
- Public Liability and Professional Indemnity Insurance
- We are members of the Driver Training Association of South Australia (DTASA)
- We have a current Working With Children Check & Current National Police Clearance
- Lessons are conducted in accordance with all relevant road safety and licensing requirements
- A Dual Brake system is fitted for instructor intervention if required
- A professional three-camera recording system is installed, providing forward-facing, cabin and rear-facing video coverage. This technology supports safety & can assist with reviewing driving performance and road situations when required

How do I book a lesson

How much do you charge?

What do I need to bring?
You must provide evidence of a current Australian drivers licence or permit. You will also need to wear some comfortable, enclosed shoes. No thongs or Steel Cap boots.
Do you offer night and weekend lessons?
Yes we do! Please note that a weekend hourly rate surcharge applies for weekend bookings
Do you offer pick up and drop off services?
Yes, we offer pick-up and drop-off services for our driving lessons. We will pick you up from your designated location and drop you off at the end of the lesson to your desired location within reason.
Can I request footage captured by the dash cameras?
Yes. Footage will be made available on request. Please note the footage is over-written so requests will need to be requested in a timely manner.
What happens if we are involved in an accident?
The parent, guardian or next of kin will be notified immediately and the matter will be reported to the Police. If there is an injury, the South Australian Ambulance will be notified to attend. When using our vehicle for any driving lesson or assessment and damage to the vehicle occurs as a result of a student’s negligent or reckless conduct, Ignite Driver Training reserves the right to recover $500 insurance excess.
